Book Club Questions For The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware & Starting All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood

The Women In Cabin 10 surprised me. I really enjoyed it and was on the edge of my seat for the last part of the book!
What did you think of The Women In Cabin 10? Here are a couple questions to get you thinking about the book.

1. What’s the effect of having Lo’s e-mails and various news reports interspersed throughout Lo’s narration?

2. Who is Carrie? Did you like her? Why or why not?

3. Judah tells Lo that “I still think, in spite of it all, we’re responsible for our own actions” (p. 334). Do you agree?

The seventh book we are going to be reading is All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood. We will be starting The Woman in Cabin 10 on July 31st and ending on August 28th.

Synopsis From Goodreads: "As the daughter of a meth dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. Struggling to raise her little brother, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible "adult" around. She finds peace in the starry Midwestern night sky above the fields behind her house. One night everything changes when she witnesses one of her father's thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold, wreck his motorcycle. What follows is a powerful and shocking love story between two unlikely people that asks tough questions, reminding us of all the ugly and wonderful things that life has to offer."

Book Club Questions For Into the Water by Paula Hawkins & Starting The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

I was really disappointed with Into the Water. I loved Gone Girl and was expecting so much from Into the Water, but it did not meet my expectations. What happened?!

What did you think of Into the Water? If you have read Gone Girl how do you think it compares?

The sixth book we are going to be reading is The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. We will be starting The Woman in Cabin 10 on July 10th and ending on July 31st.

Synopsis From Goodreads: "In this tightly wound story, Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong…

With surprising twists and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up another intense read."
